Woodworker’s Indexing
I bought their index disks some years back and actually renewed twice since then. Suddenly the disk stopped working, stating I had gone past my license date (it was a lifetime license).
My email requests through their website for technical help went unanswered, their old phone number is disconnected, and now their website seems to be down.
Sounds like they are history. Does anyone know?

I have same application, and find the complications you describe. Have tried web search for the company as well as William Mikus (the writer), with no positive results.
Seems to be a dead end, which is sad, because I used the app a lot. Now I can't even get it to open.
Anyone else know of current connection for Mr. Mikus? Would it be possible to buy the rights to the app and re-instigate its operation?

I just tried my copy and it has the same problem. I was just using it last week and it worked, so this is very recent.
I purchased it years ago and have renewed several times. I liked using it better than going to all the individual magazine websites.
Please post if you get an answer.
