I’ve seen these blades in a number of places. They have a pretty picture painted on them. Does that help them cut better???? ;^)
Actually, has anyone tried them? Any opinions out there? The local lowes has them for 39.95 with some silencer gizmo and a free sharpening coupon.

Well, since no one had anything to say I bought one. Not a bad blade for $40. Well worth it compared to others that cost more, comprable to those at the $55 range. It's actually made by Oldham regardless of the U.S. Saw brand name on the blade.

I bought one (80 tooth) from Lowes last year and returned it shortly (they didn't have any left to exchange). I was using it to cut pro-cor maple plywood for an armiore and it seemed to tear the plywood rather than cut it. I purchased a Freud and it worked much better.
I have heard alot of praise on the Oldham blades, I think mine was just a fluke. I've seen them in operation in a number of shops, seem to work well.
I will be trying it again when I purchase another blade, the quality of construction seems to be good for the money.
HD has Dewalt 60 tooth, thin kerf, carbide tipped, ATB 10 inch blades for $39.95. The ones I have are performing as well as my Forrest WW II.

Sorry to hear that. I picked up the 40 tooth combination blade and it works great. It's not a $100 Forrest, but I don't see any appreciable difference from a teflon Freud. This blade is coated also. They had some for the same price that weren't. I didn't understand that one.

I got the 80 Tooth version. I had a gift certificate and that is all I could find to buy at the local Menards.
I give the blade a C+. My 40 tooth Forrest crosscut better. I put it on the RAS and it works okay. If I had it to do over, I would invest in something else.
I agree, it's not the best blade available, but that Forrest of yours cost over $100! The only thing I'll buy with Dewalt on it is their blades. Forrest is a nice blade, but IMO it is not worth twice as much as a Dewalt, Freud or 3 times as much as the signature. I will admit I may have got lucky with this blade.
