I’m looking for a hands on workshop that is close to Georgia. I know there are some great ones in California, Maine, Indiana, etc. If anybody knows of a great workshop in a state that borders Georgia or that is in Georgia I would like to here from you.
Thanks,
Brandon

Hi Brandon, until someone who can attest to a particular school, here is a google search:

which resulted in:
Technical college programs:

And probably closer to what you are looking for:

Hi Brandon,
Highland Hardware, in Atlanta, is an organization I have come to respect from afar. Based on their catalogs and the missives I receive from them via e-mail, I infer they are well-connected with both craftsmen and educators.
Were I in your shoes, I'd pay a visit to Highland Hardware and see what they have to say:

There is a good one in Gatlinberg Tn. I think it is call Arrowmont.
There is a nice really old one in the mountains near Ashville NC that is worth checking out. It is Penland school for the crafts. It is a really cool setup in the mountains.
Thanks for the tip.
