I will be in Utah in July visiting my parents and would love to take my father with me to a some kind of woodworking retreat/course/seminar during the month. Both of us know our way around a shop, although I have been out of mine for about four years now. I’d love to find something within a day’s drive of Salt Lake City (ID, MT, WY, CO, AZ, NM, NV, CA – maybe OR and WA) that lasted around a week.
I’ve looked at the Chidwick School in Montana, but I haven’t seen any others in the area and wondered if the crew at Knots is aware of others that might be offering courses this July. I’d like something more of a retreat rather than merely a community college offering summer courses.
Thanks, everyone!

Courses
You might take a look at Anderson Ranch in Snowmass Colorado, andersonranch.com
At first the site may look like just an arts center but they do have woodworking and turning classes with some instructors I have seen featured in FIne Woodworking
+1 on Anderson Ranch. High quality instruction in a very beautiful setting, just ouside of Aspen.
