We attended the Denver show yesterday and found it to be much smaller than previous years. The floor area was about 2/3 of last year and the number of booths was much less. Many of the big names were there, but their booths were much smaller. Rockler was not there. Attendance was also down, as evidenced by the fullness of the parking lot. I would guess about 1/2.
Best regards, Tom.
I went to the Chicago Woodworking show in October and there were a number of vendors missing. Rockler, Delta, Powermatic, Tormek, and Boeshield were the most notable missing. Talking to the manager at Rockler weeks after the show, she said that corporate would not let them participate. Chicago use to be a good show, I don't think The Woodworking Show will be back next year if it gets any smaller, which makes me wonder about the other stops on the circuit. Hope it is not dying on the vine.

Jay,
We heard on the floor that the show will be operated by a different organization next year, that booth prices will be lower, and that there will be more participation. Truth or urban myth? Time will tell.Tom.
The show was much smaller this year... I know the people from ToolZone (great guys). I'll see if they know what happened this year.
