Does anyone know of any upcoming woodworking shows in the midwest? I went to the one in Louisville,KY last year [my first] and can’t wait for another one. I especially liked the demonstrations and I thought they had some good deals [I bought an hvlp sprayer and love it – don’t know what I did without one].

Try http://www.thewoodworkingshows.com for a list of all their shows.
Good luck,

I clicked on the link and got a "Page cannot be found" message. I hope it is not a browser thing; anybody experiencing similar difficulty? Anyway, looking at the events page of the Fine Woodworking website, I see a schedule for the Woodworking Shows. There are two in the fall for my area (Southern California): Seaside Park in Ventura in September and the Orange County Fairgrounds in November. Checking each venue's website, O.C. has it on their schedule but Seaside makes no mention of it whatsoever. So basically, I am getting mixed messages. Can anybody confirm if the shows are going to happen? I'll give them a call next week, but I'd like to hear from people who have checked on the show in their area.
I printed out the list from the woodworking shows site and it doesn't list a show in your area in Sept. but it does list one at the Orange Co. Fairgrounds Nov.8-10 and Sacramento at Cal Expo Pavillion Apr. 25-27. I plan to attend the one in Sep. at the Cincinnati convention center. Good luck.

"The Woodworking Shows is committed to bringing you nothing less than the finest woodworking experience; we feel it is our obligation to our attendees to put on the best events we can. Unfortunately, due to circumstances beyond our control, we are regretfully canceling eleven events scheduled in the Fall of 2002: Ventura, CA; Boise, ID; Reno, NV; Albuquerque, NM; Orlando, FL; Lehigh Valley (PA); Syracuse, NY; Greensboro, NC; Birmingham, AL; San Antonio, TX; and Salt Lake City, UT.
