Does anyone have any experience with their Tote Turner – Steel Shooting Board Hand Plane Adapter?
Seems like a economical option to purchasing a “dedicated” shooting plane.

I can't attest to the function of the Tote Turner, but I did purchase a depth stop Woodyah made for a Stanley 78 plane and I was impressed with the attention to detail in their execution and the thoughtful re-engineered design for a replacement part. I'll happily look at them again for keeping my old tools running. The quality to price ratio was very good.
Thanks for the input, colopr. I appreciate it!
You could also just make your own hot dog. I drilled and tapped a 1/4-20 set screw into it and it has never slipped.
GWBee ... shoot (no pun intended). Now why didn't I think of that? Duh. Imma gonna try that first. An elegant solution. I especially like that 'cuz it'll work for the low angle plane I wanted to use (and was fairly certain the Woodyah wouldn't).
Thanks!
The Tote Turner is a decent bit of kit. I think it comes down to whether you want to push the plane from the rear or hold it closer to the iron when shooting. I went with the hot dog because I like the holding position. But I had a Tote Turner first and it's good.
Thanks to everyone. Very helpful.
