   I bought the "The Workbench Book" By Scott Landis.  It help me nail down what I wanted in a bench.  I was planning I building a simple frame with a top but after reading about shaker benches I decide that the space below is worth to much to me for storage.  I built mine out of birch and have just had some maple logs cut and will be building a second bench in the fall.  My new bench will be of traditional European design.

   As for plans I drew my own set of plans based on everything that I have seen and like in diffeent benches.
