I have been searching for the FWW # that featured a mini workbench that sat on your regular workbench. I can not find any reference to it in the forums, or the magazine index.

The concept was published abut a year ago and there was a video clip on line here. It appears the video clip is now in the "members only" section.
I did build the bench and it's very handy. Perhaps the most important part is the two veneer press screws that are used somewhat similar to a veritas dual screw. Let me know if you need moe info..
You can find the plans for the minibench in the Fine Woodworking April,2005 edition. It is #176.
It has everything you need to know. You can also visit the website and see the author demonstrate the benchtop bench according to the article.
