I’m finally going to move my air compressor out of my basement shop and into a storage area to make some room. I’d like to plumb the air in from the compressor into the shop (and garage). Does anyone have a suggestion for what to use for piping? Also, I have a craftsman 6hp 33 gal upright and I’d like to keep fairly mobile (i.e. I’d like to be able to disconnect it from the wall if I need it outside for some reason). Therefore, I’d like to make the connection to the shop air line with a quick disconnect. Finally, should I have a short section of flexible hose at the compressor side to eliminate the concern of vibrating the piping off the walls?
Any suggestions in this area would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Tim

Well, Home Depot has thick wall copper tubing that has a bursting strength of over 300 PSI. They come in 10' lengths. 1/2" inside diameter would be sufficient if it's not a terribly long run. HD also has thin wall, which I would not use for such an application. Does require "sottering" skills!
