I just came across a 9 ft by 16 inch by 3 inch thick slab of worm hole chestnut that I would like to make a hall table out of. I have enough for the top, legs and possibly a stretcher between the legs on the short ends. I’m wondering about any possible leg/support system? I am unlikely to find additional wood! Any clever advice appreciated.

You also have 18 feet of 16 inch by 1.5 inch lumber. Resaw the slab.
Never thought of that. Not sure where I can have that done but I might have a few options. Could even resales 4-5 ft and keep the rest!
Cool.
