Has anyone used a Yorkcraft jointer?
I am going to purchase a 6″ jointer in a few months and I have been watching the never ending topic of jointers, but I don’t remember anyone mentioning the Yorkcraft. I had the Craftsman in mind months ago, but the Sunhill seems to be highly recommended by some in this forum.

I have the Sunhill and swear by it, but most of the jointers are great. I don't have the YorkCraft, but everything I've read and saw reviews speaks well of it. I considered it, but went with the Sunhill for the 55" table..

Sarge,
You were the reason I changed my mind to the Sunhill. I saw the Yorkcraft in the Shops & Tools magazine and it dawned on me I never have seen it mentioned in here. The review said it was a Delta look-a-like. Thanks for your advice.

Jeff, I bought a Powermatic 6" Model 54A at the woodworking show a year ago and I love it. It has the long table and I got a real good price. I was not looking for a Powermatic but when I looked at it, It sold itself. Good luck with your purchase.

Thanks Ken, the MONEY issue keeps me from getting a higher end jointer. This will be my first jointer so I'll start slow and maybe trade up one day. My shop is not quite done, I still have insulation, sheetrock and painting and my wife, the CFO, is adding up receipts and not smiling.
