I purchased a Yorkcraft jointer and while setting it up, I ran into the following problem: The infeed table will not move up or down. Based on the parts diagram, all the parts are there, but the long adjustment handle will not turn? Customer Service is closed, so any thoughts are appreciated.

hmmm, Is your "long adjustment handle" a lever? A lot of jointers use a lever with an up/down motion to move the table. If this doesn't solve the problem you might check the gib adjustment. If the gib is too tight, you won't easily move the table.
The long handle is not a lever a far as I know. This jointer is very similar to the 6in delta or the yorkcraft. So, the motion on the long handle ("pole" maybe a lever) would be up and down to slide the infeed table. I am hoping it is not the "gibs". Should I try looseing all (3) the gib bolts?
Thanks for your help.
Works great. The gibs were too tight. Thanks for you help.
Sounds like the infeed table lock is engaged. My Jet has a spring loaded pin which prevents table adjustment >1/8". The Yorkcraft may not have this feature.
