wow! that is really something.
Interesting mechanics. Seems like a lot of bother for an additional 24"( give or take) of diameter.

A few months back, someone posted a link to this company's web site.
As I recall, the price of the table is more than $50,000.

nikkiwood,
you are right. My son sent me the website. I was blown over by it. I posted it. I never recommended that anyone buy it. I enjoy seeing pieces of furniture that surprise and amaze me. Regardless of price, the table is amazing.
Have fun.

<< "Regardless of price, the table is amazing." >>Amen. But my second or third reaction when I first saw it was that this seems still another manifestation of the growing inequalities of income distribution in the USA.But I've been reading too much Paul Krugman lately.................<G>********************************************************

Dear Nikki,
Thank God for those growing inequalities! It keeps plenty of us in work. In the last twenty years I have worked for exactly zero poor people. Go Capitalism!Best,John
So who gets the say over the distribution? Who decides what is fair? Wealth is “distributed” to those who are able, smart and motivated enough to go out and get it and protect it, period. If you’d like to see some other folks have more, go earn a lot of money and give it to them, but leave mine alone.
It is always good to be the one in charge of distribution, particularly when they are handing out the coolaid.

IIRC someone over on the Festool group is building something like that?
Yikes.
