I’m interested in making, or more likely, having made, an entry door covered in zinc. Haven’t worked out design details yet, but am interested in how others would approach the problem of making such a door-it’ll be for new construction. S. Lambertson

What's your idea? Do you want a simple planar surface, or would you like something that looks like a traditional frame-and-panel? Do you want only metal to show, or would you like both metal and wood to show? Are you willing to show fasteners that hold sheetmetal to a wood structure?
Here's maybe a way to get the look you want without custom construction: buy a standard steel door, strip or sandblast the paint off, clearcoat it, and you're done!
