Cutting on a Chevalet de Marqueterie
A French innovation for cutting marquetry pieces by handThe chevalet de marqueterie, sometimes refered to as a marquetry horse, is a 19th-century French invention that might be considered one of Paris’s greatest contributions to the craft. The hand- and foot-powered tool cuts quickly and accurately through a packet of veneers to create matching marquetry pieces. In this video, the tool is demonstrated in detail by Patrick Edwards of the American School of French Marquetry during the annual Colonial Williamsburg conference.

I would like to see some more videos on this. I listened to both podcasts with Patrick and this is a fascinating work method and would enjoy seeing some actual stages of a piece being made.
Thank you
