STL 108: Matt Kenney has left the building
Don’t worry… April Fools. Matt’s not going anywhere.
Ben Strano mans Matt’s snark chair and attempts to resist its devilish power. Plus, can a cheap handplane do good work? Can, and should, you build a period piece with the Domino?

Excellent podcast as usual! The hand plane discussion was very good for me that I wish I heard when I was learning to use hand tools and started buying flea market handplane. Of most important was Ben Strano's comment that "unless you have tried a really good handplane that is set up right" one would not have a bench mark for a good plane. In my case I was fortunate to try Mike Pekovich's no.4 LN plane at Woodcraft Manchester open house. Thanks Mike.
Having listened to every podcast, I am a definite fan. I was sad to see Ed Pirnik leave and wish him well. I have two observations.
1) As Tom McKenna began his role as host, he seemed tentative and shy. No more! He has grown very comfortable on the podcast. His contributions are excellent.
2) It was great to have Ben Strano as a full participant on the podcast. His experiences as a growing woodworker probably sound familiar to many listeners. It will be great fun to follow his growth as he has day-to-day access to a complete shop and skilled colleagues. Meantime, his video on separating superglued fingers was both helpful and entertaining. I wish I knew that technique a few years ago.
Watched Ben Strano's "Get Unstuck From Superglue" faux whiteboard animation. Great presentation technique, Ben! Excellent on the content, as well. Good to know.
