This is a built-in cherry entertainment center of my own design. I wanted it to have the appearance of a built-in wardrobe or cupboard when the doors are closed and blend into the decor. The large main speakers for the system were built into openings in the wall and covered with new grills that blend with the wall color. The coved raised panels were profiled on the table saw and the finish is Minwax Satin Polyurethane, natural cherry without stains or dyes. The trim is a combination of salvaged fir trim (from a late 1800’s home) and poplar reproduction trim stained to match. Wiring for the AV equipment is accessible from the rear via an access door in a utility corridor behind the cabinet. Drawers are used for movie and video game storage.
