I really like the arts & crafts style, but what are the main "true" characteristics that make a piece arts & crafts? It sounds like this book is a good foundationto the style.

out of all the different types of furniture I find the craftsman furniture to be the most sturdy and the nicest looking furniture one can make. I think this book would be a wonderful addition to the few furniture design books I have.
Besides a love of woodworking, I got into building furniture because I can't afford Stickley. Would love to have this book as a guide for future projects.
In, thanks
I've been eyeing this book for awhile now and love the projects inside. Please count me in for the draw!

I have been studying A&C furniture for some time now. Whats amazing is that this style has had such a long renaissance recently. Prices of true antiques in this group continue to rise and the popularity among new furniture enthusiasts is growing and growing.
Its so simple and functional but it has a great classic look to it that I think tastes are going to have to change drastically before the popularity of this furniture style starts to wane.
I would like to win this book because Kevin Rodel is one of my favorite contemporary A&C furniture makers. This would be an awesome Christmas present from Fine Woodworking.
A&C has a look that I keeps me coming back for more.
This looks like a great book. Just what I need to inspire my winter woodworking.

I too have a wife that loves the Craftsman style. Would love to have this book to learn more. Then maybe I can make her happy with some nice Craftsman furniture.
An excellent Arts and Crafts book would be sweet
The Arts and Crafts style expresses the craftsman's connection to the material, with equal parts of both exposed in the finished product. This book would be a great addition to supplement my journey through this period.
This is an outstanding book. Useful as a reference while working in this style. All I need to move me over the top in A&C furniture is a reference to use as I build. Great Book!
