IWF alert: Machine-setup gauge is the best we’ve seen
The Betterley Una-Gauge uses a dial indicator like lots of of other similar gauges, but the ingenious attachments and $200 price tag are what make this a standout. One attachment has rare-earth magnets in it, to lock it to any cast-iron surface, and its legs slide into a number of helpful positions.
The other attachment is a miter bar, which makes setting your rip fence or blade easy on any tablesaw.
It can reach 2 in. below a table for checking arbors, etc., and up to to 4 in. above for bits and blade heights and much more. It can set your jointer knives, level your tablesaw insert, and much more.
Betterley’s Rob Svee says he expects the price to be under $200 when the tool is released in early November. Go to Betterleytools.com in a month or so for more info.

Curious...
These "teaser" articles are very short on information. I followed the suggestion and went to Betterleytools.com, but found no new info there.
The color is different, the design is slightly different, but I see no functional difference between this and the TS aligner tools.
Ts aligner products clearly state their exact tolerances and other pertinent specifications. Further, the lowest cost model is less than half this proposed price.
So tell me again... Why am I supposed to be excited about this "new" tool?
Betterleytools.com is underconstruction, a new look will be there soon! to goodguy: if you would have been at IWF and stopped by for a hands on demo of the Una-Gauge maybe you could have undestood the excitement of this tool... As far as the Una-Gauge, Have a look at the videos uploaded on YOUTUBE.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JvGGr8KnR3c
