Doug Stowe has been making boxes for more than 30 years, and over that time he has perfected his techniques for designing and building them. When it comes to finishing his boxes, he keeps it simple: Danish oil. It wipes or brushes on easily and when cured the finish enhances the grain, bringing out the best in the wood. In this episode of his video workshop on making boxes, Stowe demonstrates how he applies the finish and includes some tips to make the job go smoothly.
