Block Plane Tips and Techniques
Hand-tool expert Garrett Hack offers tips and techniques for using the block plane effectively.
Block planes may be the smallest in the line of bench planes, but they’re probably one of the most useful. Like you, I keep 2 block planes handy. One set fine, the other coarse. I also keep a pair of #6 Stanleys set the same way, as well as a pair of Stanley #4s.
very good advice thank you
I have to admit that I use my small pocket block plane more than I ever use my large block planes.
