Simple Circle-Cutting Jig
A quick-to-make jig for cutting flawless circles on the bandsaw.
It’s not easy to cut perfect circles on the bandsaw every time. But with this jig, John White finds that he has no problem.
In the video, he shows how to make the jig from just a few plywood scraps, how to orient the workpiece on the jig, and how to cut the circle.

I used this simple jig today, to make a 24" diameter Lazy Susan. It worked precisely as shown on the video. I am using Eastern Maple rather than plywood. I thought the hardness of the wood might make the jig less reliable, but the cut was flawless. An excellent example of simple solutions being the best solutions. Thanks to John White for the demonstration!

Made this jig yesterday to cut wheels for some outdoor furniture. It was great — easy to build, easy to adjust for different diameters, and very accurate. Thanks!
