Tim Rousseau’s modern desk might look simple, but a lot goes into making such an elegant piece. While Tim tackles this project with a pro’s perspective using tools found in professional shops, he also draws parallels to tools found in most hobbyist woodshops.
In this episode of his video workshop on making the desk, Tim Rousseau uses the tablesaw to taper the legs. Then, he finishes the shaping of the legs using patterns and a router.

Why, oh why, do you remove the dust shroud ? You are drastically increasing the risk of a serious injury, and letting sawdust all over the shop.
