Mahogany Writing Desk

This desk is made from a door that had been painted black and thrown away. I stripped the paint, and came up with a design that would use the parts. I also used it as a practice piece for my hand tools. All the joints are cut by hand, from the mortice and tenon joints to the dovetails. The cloud lifts and drawer pulls are an obvious nod to Greene and Greene.
