The Gadget Station
The Gadget Station is a charging center for everyday electronics. Primary wood is bubinga with spalted maple panels and a figured maple back panel. Ebony accents. Finish is a wiping varnish.
The piece has a great deal of Greene & Greene influence with my own perspective added in.
This project was built for Leo Laporte, a well-known tech enthusiast.

Great work, I like the design and the finish looks fantastic.
Nice, very nice. The contrast between the spalted maple and the bubinga is beautiful. I used to watch Leo on TSS every chance I got, looking forward to seeing the TWW episode where you present him with this piece.
Nice photos Marc! The finished piece looks great. I added a link to your video series under "Design or Plan used."
As for your profile picture. You look a lot like the carving a few posts back: http://finewoodworking.taunton.com/item/1334/hatta-in-prison
Thanks for the comments guys. Much appreciated. And thanks for the link Matt. Wasn't sure if that would be appropriate but I do appreciate it. And you are right, my pic does look awfully close to that carving, lol.
