Great design and selection of woods. What did you use for the finish?
Thanks! I used the Tried and True Varnish Oil. Although I haven't used it alot since then the results were great. It still has the original sheen after 2-3 years.
I really like the design and how you kept the grain continuity from drawer to drawer.
Nicely done.
Quelle merveille! (Amasing work!)
What are the dimensions?
True Varnish oil : do you refer to the recipe of FWW, last winter? Or do yuou recommand bran?
Thank you and Bravo encore....
Norman
It is projects like this that make me wish you could add more than 5 pictures. Selection of wood types worked out very well. The design stands out but does not look like "forced uniqueness".
Hi LouLou50
The Tried and True Varnish Oil is the name of the product. You can buy it in many stores and online. The dimensions are:
Top 42 x 11 1/16
Height 29 3/4
Drawer fronts 3 9/16 x 13 7/16
The main "body" of the case is 9 7/8 deep
Good job--still have retina burn!!
cheers!
A very beautiful, inspiring, and masterfully creative piece.
Butiful!!!
I like you table, how did you do the ebony on the top?
can you send some more pictures, I liked to understand more of the design. also how did you do the ebony?
I’m an amateur woodworker in thrall of your ‘Hall Table’ that was shown in Fine Woodworking some years ago. I've never forgot the effect seeing that table for the first time had on me... I have a question regarding your construction (I am not trying to imitate your excellent design, but I’m certainly inspired by it). The bottom curved stretcher: Is it steam bent; a lamination; or, due to its large radius, merely cut from a board? Keep up your excellent work – furniture and articles.
