That's a beautiful piece! If it plays as well as it looks, it is an absolutely priceless gift. Must be for someone very special! (Wish it were me!) Great work!
Great guitar!! bet that took along time to complete! wonderful!
my brother was head designer and carver for Gibson guitars in Nashville tenn if you would like to see http://www.Kunkelguitars.com
Wow! A piece of beauty. I play classical guitar so have an appreciation for this instrument. How does it sound? Suspect it sounds as good as it looks. Kudos
Thank you for the compliments. The guitars (I made 13 of them) are for my children and grandchildren. They take an average of three months each, though I usually have a dozen or so in the works at any one time. I do that so I can keep busy while the glue cures.
The tone of this one was rather dissappointing. Usually they are soft and reedy sounding. This one sounds sweet without the reedy, it is Ok, good actually, but not what I wanted to hear.
I am starting another batch today, same style, three sizes, parlor (15" body length), concert (19" body), and grand concert (21.5" body). These will be for sale.
Regards
