Yes sir, it is hollow. The walls are approximately 1/8".

Great job! I think you hollowed it in two parts and then glued them together... Or are you a wizard? :) Anyway 1/8" is a very fine thikness, imho - not to talk about that awesome lid...
Thanks for your comments Trviwolf. A lot of segmenters do as you say by turning two halves and then putting them together. I am by no means a wizard, but I always assemble my pieces totally before turning and hollowing. Perhaps this comes from turning and hollowing solid wood pieces. It's just the way I have always done it.
