This item was built for a friend of ours that loves Early American furniture . It is made of antique heart pine that was reclaimed from one of the old cotton mill and the floor boards from a share chopper house. The antique pine was original cut at a saw mill and you can still see the marks from the blade. This wood is one hundred years old or more, has no stain only a clear coat of finish. The hunt Board was used as a food server, that could be taken outside. The early Hunt Board were very high pieces of furniture made so that the hunters would not have to dismount from their horses.
