These are two tables I made as Christmas gifts, one for my parents and the other for my sister. They are my second and third woodworking pieces completed. All surfaces were hand planed to flat and smooth. The leg and apron joints are hand chiseled mortises and hand sawn tenons with 3/16″ square pegs to reinforce. The drawers are hand cut half-blind dovetails and full dovetails in back with quarter-sawn white oak as drawer sides and back. The Tables and drawer fronts are of walnut. The taper on the legs and bevel to the tops are done with hand planes. The finish is linseed oil, garnet shellac, and wax. Thank you for looking.

They are very similar to two tables my old man made out
of cherry.

Well Done. You are off and running !

I love the simplicity of the design but most of all the surprise of the quarter sawn oak sides. It's great
