I built this modern inspired wall pendulum clock as a Christmas present for my parents this year. The outside ring is turned from a hexagonal glue up of quilted cherry. The domed inner square, which was also turned, is curly maple, as is the bob. The main clock body measures 16 inches in diameter and 2-1/4 inches thick. The curly maple is offset from the cherry by brass pins that create the space for the pendulum bob to extend downward. The finish on the piece is danish oil.
