Cherry & Spalted Curly Maple Console
These delicate looking legs were initally 3″ square chunks of cherry. (After bandsawing these to shape, I ended up with 4 more legs for another table.)
Twice two way and then four way bookmatched shopsawn veneer is one of the best figured, colored and spalted curly maple I have ever seen. The ironic part is… This piece of maple was literally picked up from the firewood pile!
The string along the border of the figured maple center, is 1/16″ square ebony inlay. Maple veneers are 5/32″ thick.
33″ high, 46″ wide, 16″ deep.
