Hikmet C. Sakman-G&G Inspired Table
This piece was rather an exercise in design. Woods are qs white oak and wenge.
Center spindles are sawn to shape 12/4 stock, carrying the weight of 44″x108″ top which is cradled by a similar configuration as the base, although additional 4″x36″x3/8″ thick steel plates also adds to the table top’s stability.
Finished with varnish.
