Sapele Dining Chair
The chair is of Sapele. The design has the back joint of the Maloof Low Back but the seat was reconfigured smaller and to blend into the front legs. The crest rail was carved to emphasize the fan shape of the spindles. The spindles are bent lamination. The legs curved for a more graceful look.

Wow really nice work, Wish I had the patience for all those curves
This is terrific work. Your interpretation of a Maloof chair is really beautiful and I hope those who use it appreciate what a treasure you have made. Thanks for sharing the photographs.
Very nice!
This is inspiring!
Wow! I really like this chair. What a wonderful design and well built. Nice job!!
Mr. DChafe, very nice craftsmanship, and you made it of what I think is some of the most beautiful wood in nature.
The bands/veins of gold throughout the grain is awsome. Thanks for sharing !
Well done. I have been trying for years to figure out a strong joint for the front legs that would integrate with a sculpted seat. I like your solution.
