Gorgeous! Am trying some of these myself this morning. Great inspiration here.
Nice to make something that you can use and enjoy daily.
Thanks for sharing.
Any tips on construction would be appreciated................

Very cool. I have made some myself from old roof slates that have come out nicely, but find it a laborious process. I would welcome a few tips on how you locate holes accurately.
Great Idea. Agree with Richard above to make something you can Use, enjoy and "demonstrates your skill".
These are great! I've made a few switch plates myself, but always out of solid wood, and rather plain. I never thought of using veneers. Yours are much more attractive than mine, but this gives me some new ideas.
Excellent. A real piece of artwork.
Thanks for all the compliments. I have done every switch plate in my house, and nobody, except for one of my brothers has taken notice.
Me, I admire them every day.
pcox - I have three templates for locating the holes and routing out the back.
