Small arts and crafts chest

Made from quartersawn English oak (quercus robur). The top is a single slab with a copper inlay etched with the chemical equation for photosynthesis. The stay is leather. Finished in boiled linseed oil, amber shellac and beeswax. Overall size w 21″ d 13″ h 17 1/2″.

This is a wonderful piece of work. The design and the details combine to form a beautiful whole. The medieval motifs of the A&C style emerge nicely in this box. Thank you for sharing these photographs.
