Electric Guitar
The style draws inspiration from a PRS body, but that’s where the similarities end. The body has a carved, quilted maple top with a mahogany back. The neck is set into the body just past the string ferrules for ultimate sustain. Much of the hardware is recessed into the surface (the jack plate, the string ferrules, the battery compartment cover, even the areas around the knobs are scooped out). The abalam neck inlays are simple, but lend a contemporary flair. The ebony fretboard is bound with quilted maple and the maple neck is finished with tung oil. Of note on the lacewood-veneered headstock is the lack of truss rod cover mounting screws providing an almost invisible installation. On the rear is a unique carved transition from the neck to the headstock. Everything is topped off with locking tuners. Electronics-wise, it has dual humbuckers and a piezo bridge pickup. The volume knob can be pulled out for coil-splitting. Thirty coats of lacquer were hand-buffed to provide awesome luster and brilliance.

I can't say enough about Vince's work on his first custom guitar! He's meticulous about every step of his work....even the ones you may not ever see (such as the internal routing cavities).
I'm the lucky owner of this wonderful instrument. Though after seeing the effort and craftsmanship Vince put into this, and as he does with all of his projects, I will consider this guitar to always be his baby.

Is this THE Vince Gelezunas of Drury? :)
