I make doors for our new house in Mexico (Guanajuato). Some of the local wood is very beautiful but hard to work with, especially for doors, which require straight grain to prevent twisting and warping. The best is to laminate the wood in 2-3 layers. Arched doors are also a good woodworking challenge. Local artisans make very nice wrought iron hardware.
Ok, this is an “exposed joinery” exhibition and the photos dont show any fancy joints (except the square pegs in the 2nd door), so I guess I will not win any prize…. I hope you enjoy the photos. All the best.
