A box built for a collector of various things. It measures 14 3/4″ x 12 1/2″ x 7 1/2″; the drawers range from 1″ to 2″ high in 1/8″ increments. It is made of Braziliam pau ferro, with bird’s-eye maple drawer pulls and keys for the mitred corners. The top, bottom, and sides are book-matched with continuous grain around the box; the drawers are assembled with half-blind dovetails, and use 1/8″ birch plywood for the bottoms. The monogram is inlaid marquetry of maple and burl (specie unknown) veneer.
