This box is made of cocobolo and curly maple.

This box is made of cocobolo and curly maple.

Finished with shellac to seal the pores. Pores of the cocobolo are filled with pumice.

Finally a gentle wipe of drying oil giving it a matte silky shine.

Hinges from ebony with the same shape as the maple in the lid. The box came with a letterwood incense holder (not shown) and also in the same shape as the lid.

Beautiful box!! It just reaches out and grabs you. I make boxes for a hobby and it takes a bit of thinking to get beyond a simple box but with some imagination the sky's the limit. Congratulations.
