Made of Koa I picked up while living in Hawaii, this humidor measures about 9.5″ wide by 8″ deep by 4.5″ high. It has 3/8″ finger joints around all sides and the top. The lid is about 1.5″ deep to accomodate the Cigar Oasis Ultra electronic humidifier (a wonderful little unit!). The box is lined with Spanish Cedar all around and I also used it for the tray. I used brass circle hinges with 95 degree stops rather than the typical quadrant hinges. An “invisible” key hole keeps everything secure. Finished with several coats of tung oil, the grain of the Koa is stunningly three-dimensional. For my first box design, I’m quite proud of it, and it keeps up to 25 smokes in great condition!
