My father sent my mother a small ivory inlaid rosewood jewelry box from India, where he was stationed during the Second World War. The box was poorly made and fell apart over the years, but it had a beautiful ivory inlay of two playful elephants that I decided to salvage and recycle as a panel in the lid of a new box. The new jewelry box is of cocobolo and the ivory inlaid rosewood panel is framed with a band of holly. The drawer handles are mounted with screws that pass through cocobolo posts (made by turning and then boring out dowels) into threaded inserts in the lid or drawer front. The screw heads are concealed with holly and rosewood laminations with beveled edges. Drawers are hand dovetailed. Tung oil finish.

Ezypzy: Thank you for your kind and generous comment. I would like to oblige, but, regrettably, the only "plans" I have are some chicken scratchings and measurements on scraps of paper.
