Not that money matters, but this seems like about $8100 in shop time and equipment use, plus another $200 or so for wood. That is one impressive wedding gift! I like the book-match figure of the wood offsetting the block design of the case.
I love the way the wood grain is used to enhance the design of the box. This is, in part, what makes this such an attractive piece. The use of maple to enhance the walnut is also brilliant.
