The Wine Bottle Table was inspired by an original Shaker tripod from the Hancock Shaker Village. Upon viewing the Shaker table, I noticed that the pedistal looked similar to a wine bottle. I took the idea literally. It is ironic, because the Shakers did not drink.
The top and legs are cherry. The bottle is maple, and finished with stain and gloss Clearthane.

The base does look just like a wine bottle. Very observant!
Thank you for your comments about the Wine Bottle Table.
The legs are joined to the bottle with housed sliding dovetails.
