For “whole lotta Shaker” I’ve made a whole lotta posts, nearly once a day since March 31. Today is the event’s last day, so I figure it’s okay to close with something silly. I saw this idea in a catalog. I redesigned them and made a dozen pairs for Christmas presents one year. For the photo I borrowed these from a friend who still uses them – actual salt and pepper inside. They’re made of cherry and treated with salad bowl finish to be non-toxic.

What a great idea! Can you give any hints on dimensions and how you joined such small pieces together? I assume there is a hole in the bottom to fill up with salt or pepper?
