This is how I have upgraded my mitersaw station.
Made out of 3/4″-thick MDF, this 16 drawers 8′-long X 18″-deep X 8″-high nest raise up the station at a confortable height for my 6′ tall person, providing at the same time plenty of new storage space close to my working area.
The simpliest and cheapest step was adding a 8′ sub-base (3/4″ MDF) and a sub-fence (5/16″ HDF), eliminating any splinter when crosscutting, and giving great support for lumber.
I admint that by having more than one mitersaw, I can reduce considerably the number of setups.
