I built this desk into what would have been a closet in the fourth bedroom (my office) in my new house. This was my first attempt at building a built-in. The biggest challenge ended up being the slight bump out at the right side, which made fitting the top and the right bank of drawers a bit difficult. To get the drawers where they needed to be, I built out from the wall inside the alcove. I put a wire chase into the back of the desk so that no wire are visible except right behind the electronics. The cabinet on the bottom left is for the CPU, and I cut vents into the side of the cabinet so that the excess heat could be bled off. I also added overhead lights into the alcove, and painted the walls a contrasting color to create the right atmosphere.
