My Daughter didn’t want just bookcase she wanted them to look built in With ladder . The ceiling is wall paper with a emboss design. The bookcase are made of popular, the molding is stainable pine , the panels on the wall is red oak . All finishes where done by hand

I am considering a similar design. Are the wall panels veneer or solid oak?
They would have to be veneer (oak plywood), as they are not raised panels.
