Provence Dining Table
Massive Provence dining table featuring a 1″ solid walnut top. The solid red oak leg and horizontal cross-member, which are both 4″ large x 4″ thick, form a corner assembled with a bridal joint. The apron is joined to the corner with a dry mortise and tenon joint reinforced with a couple of hidden hanger bolt. This allows the table to be disassembled. Extension mechanism uses extra heavy-duty full extension drawer slides screwed to hardwood L-shaped pieces. 30″ high x 40″ wide x 76″ long. Extends to 94″ long with a leaf (not shown). Finish is polymerized tung oil.

Do you have any plans available for this table? I am just getting started at woodworking, but plan to build a dining table with a more experienced friend. Another question: Where would one purchase the leaf extension hardware?
Thanks for the posting and any advice/plans you might have.
Cheers,
Bill
Hello BoulderBill,
Sorry for the late reply, I only saw your comment today. I just uploaded a picture of thre plan I used. It is not a complicated piece so I did not go overboard with plans showing every detail.
As for the leaf extension hardware I bought the extra heavy duty slides at Lee Valley: http://www.leevalley.com/hardware/page.aspx?c=1&p=50505&cat=3,43614,43620&ap=1.
If you have more questions please write me at [email protected].
